The Story Behind the Art
I’ve always been fascinated by people and the stories they carry. As DIDOT, I combine my background as a data analyst with my passion for art. Just as data points form a larger picture, I use hundreds of paper fragments to build a portrait.
Giving New Life to Paper My work is about second chances. I don’t use new paint, but instead, I ‘upcycle’ old magazines and newspapers. I love the idea that something discarded can become part of a beautiful, new face. It’s a slow and careful process of tearing, searching, and layering.
When you look at my work, I hope you see two things: a striking portrait from afar, and a world of hidden details and history when you step closer. Thank you for being part of my journey.
Vision
Through my work, I aim to honor both strength and fragility—embracing the beauty found in perfection as well as imperfection within the human spirit. My practice is a dialogue between aesthetic design and ethical, sustainable choices. Using recycled stories, I seek to reveal the essence of the person portrayed.
